Company History

PetWholesaleUSA.com is a full-line wholesale pet supply distributor dedicated to serve the evolving demand of independent brick and mortar pet stores, pet groomers, veterinarians, kennels, pet trainers, breeders, pet service companies, and resellers. The parent company Lee-Mar Aquarium & Pet Supplies has not changed ownership and is still family owned. Our company started in the garage of Lee and Mary Jo Schultz in 1973. Upon Lee’s retirement from the military, they worked together to distribute pet supplies to local pet stores in their region. Lee and Mary Jo sold their business in 1975 to Terry and Linda Boyd. Terry had moved to Southern California with Navy Supply Depot distribution expertise, a Stanford MBA, and a dream. As they developed new partnerships with several pet supplies manufacturers, Terry and Linda found the business growing rapidly. Within a short amount of time, they outgrew their facilities on the north side of Vista, CA, and moved to the current facility on Dogwood Way.

In 1997, Terry and Linda’s sons, Jeff and Mark joined the family business. Both boys grew up around the business during high school and college by working in the warehouse checking in deliveries and fulfilling local pet store orders. After college, Jeff and Mark joined the family business full time bringing new ideas and experiences from outside the pet industry that continues to grow the pet supply distribution business. Today, PetWholesaleUSA.com was born to expand our reach to serve all independent pet supply retailers in the United States.
